Dance Advance is a program of The Pew Charitable Trusts and the Philadelphia Dance Alliance designed to promote projects in dance in the five county region of Pennsylvania surrounding-and including-the city of Philadelphia.
Founded in 1992, the DHC was established to address problems identified by a field-wide study of the current state of preservation and documentation of American dance.
